MUST KNOW tips for enjoying the trips to Theme Parks

1. Start your day early. After 1pm the Florida sun will cook you alive! Find ways to work around the hottest time of the day to maximize your enjoyment each day.

2. Pack your cooler: Disney allows outside food and this tip will save your wallet and your crying hungry children. Pack yogurts, cookies, fruit snacks and plenty of water. Don’t forget diapers, diaper wipes and extra clean clothes to change (if needed).

3. Bring a good stroller: it will save your wallet. You can rent a stroller at Disney parks, Sea World, etc…but are uncomfortable for such a long day (hard plastic and $$$). Also your stroller will hold your cooler and snacks.

We provide single, double, trio and 4-child strollers. Check us out!

4. Make an itinerary: before your trip, make reservations if you have the dining plan. Look at where you are dinning and then plan your parks and your meals.

5. Let your child pack a fun backpack with things that will keep them occupied while you all stand in those super long lines.

6. Bring extra clothes and towels for kids to play in the “Splish-Splash” soak stations : the best place to get wet is at Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station in the Storybook Circus section of Fantasyland. It offers a great relief from the heat and will make your child not want to leave this area. Be aware: They will get wet! And it won’t be just kids in the splash pad

TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR CHILD SAFE AT DISNEY & THEME PARKS

4. Assign a child with an adult: don’t think the “other person” is watching your child.

5. Create a meeting spot: get the map by the entrance and discuss the place you will meet at the end of the day or in case of emergency.

6. Rent a stroller: You can rent a stroller at Disney parks, Sea World, etc…but are uncomfortable for such a long day (hard plastic and $$$). Also your stroller will hold your cooler and snacks.

We provide single, double, trio and 4-child strollers. Check us out!

7. Talk to your child about how to identify a Cast Member (CM): this is important for young children, it may be another way to help them find you in case they get lost.

FLORIDA LAW CHILD CAR SEAT REQUIREMENTS

Florida law requires children under 5 years of age to be properly restrained no matter where they are seated in the vehicle. Children through age 3 must be secured in a separate carrier (child safety seat) or in a vehicle manufacturer’s integrated child safety seat. For children ages 4-5, a separate carrier, an integrated child safety seat, or a safety belt may be used. If a safety belt does not fit the child correctly, a booster set should be used to correctly position the lap and shoulder belts once they outgrow forward facing child safety seats (generally at about 40 pounds and 4 years old). Children from approximately 40-80 pounds and under 4’9” in height should ride in a booster seat.

Infants must ride rear-facing until they are at least one year old and weigh 20 pounds or more. Rear-facing, the infant should be semi-upright at an angle or no more than 45 degrees. A forward-facing older child should ride sitting upright.

Never place a child in a child safety seat in the front seat of a vehicle equipped with a passenger air bag.

Always use the back seat.

Violation of the child restraint law carries a fine of $60 and 3 points on the driving record.
